Change Log
05/06/26 Added two new mods by me: Jesters Don't Ignore Needs and Grandmas Comfort Soup, and others: Smaller Terrain Paint, Ceiling Lights Overhaul, and Always Visible - Mirrors, TV, and Shelves & Cupboards. Also moved Auto Forward-Sims Style and Pause On Start to the Camera & Controls section because it makes more sense and the Gameplay section is getting long. 02/06/26 Added Change Log and more mods: Don't Cancel Everything, Pause On Start and IKEA Lagkapten / Alex Desk. 01/06/26 Organized into categories and added: 6ix Plugin Hub, Fix Your Marriage, Paralives Sims 3 Camera, Colourful Emotions, Enhanced Textures - Kitchen Set, Interact Icons, Lot Thumbnail on Build Button, Always Show All Available Wants, Auto Forward Sims-style, Fun Need Overhaul, Read From Book Clutter Items, Science of it All, Smarter Hygiene, Mousepad, and [Zomb] Bathroom Clutter. Also specified that Wants Don't Clear now requires Always Show All Available Wants. 27/05/26 Page Published with first mods: Sensible Camera Control, Zoom Out More, Crystal Clear Map View, Faster Together Cards, Wants Don't Clear, and Invite To Current Lot.
Bug Fixes
by 6xvl/6ix on GitHub
This is a bundle of mods which includes BepInEx (a framework required by several other mods), bug fixes such as fixing Steam Workshop mods not loading correctly, bypassing the 50 mod limit, limiting FPS in menus, and more. It also comes with an in-game plugin hub from which you can browse, install, and toggle these mods from inside the game.
by paladuck on Steam
Stops married Paras from constantly wanting to propose to each other. This is especially noticeable when playing the premade families as it would be a very common want offered from the flirty emotion despite already being spouses.
Camera & Controls
by Sand_Snake007/rebell22 on Nexus
Automatically switches the game speed to x3 (Fastest) when ALL household members are sleeping, at work, or at school. Reverts to your previous speed as soon as anyone becomes available again. Just like auto fast-forward The Sims games, but for Paralives.
This requires BepInEx (Nexus | GitHub), which is included in the 6ix Plugin Hub.
by ArroNow on Nexus
Makes the camera behave similarly to the one in The Sims 3 so the right mouse button moves the camera and middle mouse button rotates it.
This requires BepInEx (Nexus | GitHub), which is included in the 6ix Plugin Hub.
by zeliktric on Nexus
Automatically pauses the game when you load into a save (excludes starting a new game).
This requires BepInEx (Nexus | GitHub), which is included in the 6ix Plugin Hub.
by Twisted Mexi on Steam
Removes the automatic tilt and other constraints from the camera, and adds a better range of look angles for the camera. So, the camera will no longer change angle unless you actually tell it to do so, which really improves the overall feel and experience of the game.
by ciamaar on Steam
Reduces the minimum size of the terrain paint brush, so you can paint smaller, more accurate sections.
by Arro on Steam
Allows the camera to zoom out more, allowing you to see much more of the town at once, resulting in a more pleasant and Sims-3-style experience.
This must be used with the Crystal Clear Map View mod to avoid the whole map blurring when zooming out far.
UI & Visuals
by pink-lemonade on Steam
Keeps the mirrors hanging on walls visible even when walls are down/hidden, so you don't have to put the walls up to interact with the mirror.
by pink-lemonade on Steam
Keeps the shelves and cupboards hanging on walls, and therefore objects placed on them, visible even when walls are down/hidden, so you can always see them.
by pink-lemonade on Steam
Keeps the wall-mounted television visible even when walls are down/hidden, so you don't have to put the walls up to interact with it.
by mxmkzn on Steam
Makes the light emitted from indoor ceiling lights wider to illuminate more space.
by Paperbark on Steam
Gives every emotion a unique colour so they are easier to tell apart in the UI and on Parafolks' portraits, inspired by the The Sims 4's moodlets and made to fit nicely within the style Paralives. All 11 of the base game emotions, as well as the Digestive System Virus, Mushroom Poisoning, and Food Poisoning status effects, now have a new unique colour.
by Arro on Steam
Removes depth of field and color lookup filters from town map view, which removes the blurriness and makes it much clearer and more pleasant to look at.
by Haruzits on Steam
Enhances the game's default textures for the kitchen clutter, making them sharper and more visually appealing. All images have been optimized to maintain or even reduce file size.
by BellaDovah on Steam or Nexus
Adds a dash of Sims 2 charm to Paralives by simply renaming "Chicken Noodle Soup" to "Grandma's Comfort Soup". I'm pretty sure this meal is actually flagged as vegetarian so it didn't really make sense for it to be 'chicken' anyway.
by Mewspa on Steam
Adds more icons to the interaction menus, making each interaction look more unique and easily identifiable, and the menus look fancier. For example, each skill that can be learned about on a computer or in a book will have a unique icon beside it, as well as many other interactions.
by ArroNow on Nexus
Shows household lot thumbnail (automatically generated by the game) on the build mode button, instead of the same generic blue house.
This requires BepInEx (Nexus | GitHub), which is included in the 6ix Plugin Hub.
*Note that currently I'd actually only recommend this when playing the pre-made houses, and not one(s) you built yourself on an empty lot, otherwise it will always look like the empty lot you bought (which in some cases are filled with rubbish). This is a limitation of the game and not the mod - hopefully a game update will introduce dynamic lot thumbnails so they change when you build/change something.
Gameplay & Quality of Life
by BellaDovah on Steam or Nexus
When the game determines which wants can be offered, cooldowns won't be taken into account and all appropriate wants will be able to be selected from so you'll have about 20-30 to choose from when picking a reaction to an emotion rather than around 1-3 specially selected ones.
by anissims on Steam
Stops the 'Go Home' button from cancelling your current interaction. Instead, it will just add the interaction to the end of the queue.
by Erevaia on Steam
Doubles the speed at which the together bar builds, so together cards can be selected after 10 in-game minutes instead of 20. This means either conversations take less time, or that you'll be able to use more cards in a conversation than you could previously.
by javaSketch on Steam
Expands the activities that count towards the fun need and adds trait-specific fun activities. Some new general fun activities include hopscotch, building sandcastles, dancing, vandalism, and more. Examples of trait-specific fun activities include Fitness trait Paras having fun working out, Music trait Paras having fun while playing an instrument or listening to music, Food trait Paras having fun while cooking or browsing new recipes, and many more. Also, slightly reduces fun need decay caused by a Jester Para learning anything.
by null on Steam
Adds a new interaction under the phone menu called 'Invite to Current Lot...' which pathfinds the selected parafolk to your current lot. So, you can invite other Paras to community lots as well as your home as currently, your home is the only option.
by BellaDovah on Steam or Nexus
Stops Jesters from randomly ignoring either the hunger, bathroom, or hygiene need sometimes when they wake up. I don't think there's enough to do to completely ignore a major need all day in my opinion. They can still ignore needs for other reasons such as a virus or being in the zone, just not because of their vibe only.
by Dizzard on Steam
Makes it so you can click on the row or stack of books clutter items (that have 3 or more books) and use the read interaction. It uses the same bookshelf grab animation that's already in the game. This gives you access to reading without needing a full bookcase.
by lasagnanoises on Steam
This mod adds a few different ways for your Para’s to directly learn the Biology, Astronomy, and Surgery skills since there currently aren't any ways to learn these skills directly yet. Adds a ‘Learn about skill…’ category on computers and a ‘Read skill book…’ on bookshelves with the interactions to study Biology, Astronomy, and Surgery and raise their skills. Also, now while using the telescope Para’s will build the astronomy skill alongside raising their science knowledge.
by teabit on Steam
Overhauls the interactions between dirty actions (cleaning items, using the toilet, mopping the floor) and hygiene actions so they're more logical. For example, even a Neat Para will no longer wash their hands after using the toilet autonomously if they have "Take a shower" queued up right after. Neat Paras will also wash their hands autonomously after mopping the floor. Sloppy Paras however, may "Pee in shower" to relieve both their hygiene and bathroom needs at the same time, and never wash their hands autonomously or flush. And many more hygiene-related logic improvements for Neat, Sloppy, and regular Paras.
by BellaDovah on Steam or Nexus
Prevents wants from clearing when Paras go to bed at night, so they're still available to complete the next day. I think this gives more direction, purpose and incentive to gameplay. While you can pin one want to stop one from clearing, this preserves as many wants as you currently have, and you never have to remember to manually lock them.
Requires 'Always Show All Available Wants' (Steam | Nexus) to avoid the issue of not being offered new wants.
Custom Content
by Claire on Steam
Adds a new resizable desk inspired by the Lagkapten table top and Alex drawers from IKEA.
by Zombyrie on Steam
A collection of custom bathroom clutter items to make your Para's home feel lived-in and cozy. Includes skincare products, soap bottles, towels, a new toothbrush-cup, a mini-tray and more! All items are purely decorative.
