An A-Z list of all the new mods I found for The Sims 2 released in April 2024!
This mod by c0smo replaces the lenses of the Base Game glasses with textures that are clearer and more transparent.
This mod by CupcakeLeaf adds a new functional object which is a weighing scale. It can be used to see your sims' fitness level, fitness decay rate when using Nopke's Fitness Decay, and can also be used to add or gain weight or change body type. Sims will react differently to their fitness level depending on their personality.
This mod by LimeyYoshi is an addon for Jacky93Sims' Functional VR Headset (released in Q1) which improves the object with various bugfixes and new features. You won't get prompted to take a picture anymore, sims will use it autonomously, sims will gain Science hobby enthusiasm while using it, sims will gain fitness while working out, and motive checks have been added so it won't be lethal to leave them unattended, and more!
This mod by Epi replaces the mailbox with one that does not have the decorative ball on top, so that you can put a light on top of it made by PForest which is included.
This mod by anachronisims is an edit of two traits mods: Cordon Bleu and Still a Child at Heart to include the new Terrible Cook Trait (released in Q1) as well as some other 3t2 traits. So, Terrible Cooks and Absent Minded sims have higher chance of burning food or starting a fire, Disciplined & Perceptive Sims have a slightly lower chance, and Natural Cooks will never burn food. All odds stack other than Natural Cooks. Also, child Terrible Cooks will always do confused animations at the toy oven, whereas Natural Cooks never will. Disciplined Children gain an effective +1 cooking skill buff for the random odds of doing confused animations at the toy oven and Absent-Minded Children suffer an effective -2 cooking skill penalty for the random odds of doing confused animations (changed from always). It sounds like it also removes the effects for Clumsy Sims that were in the original mods.

This is a new wall art object with various textures for all of the different hobbies, with a functional mesh by Pick N Mix which allows you to choose which hobby enthusiasm will be gained when viewing the board.
This mod by Gummi is an addon for Boiling Oil's Multi-Key Dorm Doors, which lets you give keys to other sims so they can enter a locked dorm room, so that it works even if the door is placed on a diagonal wall.
This is a new object by Jacky93Sims which behaves like a cat litter tray but simply looks like two small stones, so it can be placed and used outside. It has an optional infinite version which does not require cleaning.
This is mod by Nopke is a set of custom memories that get applied automatically about various events from the University Expansion: Decided to Streak, Dropped Out (pairs well with the "Sim Dropped Out" Memory Fix from Q1), Went to the First Lecture, Had Plastic Surgery, Joined a Secret Society, and Moved Into a Dormitory.
This is mod by Epi makes it so that Fireplaces will never start fires, so you can safely place rugs close to them and clutter around them. Fires can still be started by other means.
This is mod by Epi makes it so that the idle animations witches do will be based on their personality rather than their alignment.

Plumbob Default Replacement Sets: Part 1 OR Part 2 (Small and Chubby)
These two mods by Dystopia offer various options for replacing the plumbobs. Part 1 contains texture edits, offering various colors of PForest's Smaller Plumbob Default (released in Q1) whereas Part 2 also has a new mesh, making it smaller and chubbier with the same texture options.
This mod by Pick N Mix changes the behaviour of outgoing Sims when swimming or sunbathing, so that they may do so naked or in their underwear. It also adds a sign you can use to control the behavior of nearby sims, so that you can make a naturist zone and a no-naturist zone on the same lot.
This mod by PForest replaces the mesh of the Base Game Round Glasses (which Cassandra & Alex Goth wear) so that they are more circular.
This mod by Epi is a new object which when placed in a room, it makes all of the lights in the same room behave like sunlamps, allowing crops to be grown indoors.
This mod by PForest replaces the University Electric Guitar with higher quality meshes and textures.
This is a set of functional objects by Jacky93Sims. It includes a tunnel toy which can be used by toddlers to gain the body skill, as well as a Makeup Kit that can be used by toddlers to change their own appearance as well as playing with it to gain the creativity skill.
