All of the new mods I found for The Sims 2 released in the fourth quarter (October, November, and December) of 2025!
This is a default replacement for the neighborhood roads by evenfall in a British style.
An eye default replacement by ASIMtypical.
This mod by 12raben replaces the zodiac signs with birth signs from The Elder Scrolls.

This mod by millicentbystander is a set of objects, mostly clones of Maxis decorations, which automatically turn into alternate models based on the season, many being Christmas-themed. For example, one object will be a fruit bowl in spring and summer, a cornucopia in autumn, and a gingerbread house in winter. For it to function correctly, spring must be the first season, then summer, then fall, with winter being the fourth season.
This mod by Big Woe is intended to be an expanded version of the School Bus Bring Friend Home mod by TwoJeffs. It also covers bring friends home from work like the Work & Bring Home Friend Dialog mod. As well as this, many sims can be befriended at once and the chance of bringing any friend home depends on outgoingness, reputation, and the "Hospitality" Aspiration benefit.
This mod by Siknoy336 is an overhaul of their previous Vehicles Need Gas mod with many improvements and additions. It has many new features such as battery and tire health, oil levels, and parking spot selection. It also has compatibility with the Driving License mod, and optionally contains a version of Tea Addict's Go Out with Cars mod called 'send off lot'.
This mod by Tea Addict is a similar idea to her Go Out for Tea mod for use with cars (you can use both mods together or either one alone), so sims can be sent off the lot for an indefinite amount of time until you cancel the interaction. You can choose to freeze their needs during this time and the main use case of this is an alternative to the Community Time Project to simulate the time they were away at a community lot, but the benefit of this is that other sims in the household can still go out while they are off the lot.

This is functional spray painting by Jacky93Sims, you place what looks like a box of spray paints, there's a version for the floor and version for the wall and then sims can use this object to create street art and gain creativity skill.
This is an animation improvement by PForest for the street art performing mat, so the dancers will no longer completely tuck their neck into their body while dancing, it will still be visible and look more natural and realistic.
This mod by Big Woe makes Bartender NPCs far more useful as they can now clean up their area instead of idling by the bar. They can now clean up dishes, coffee cups, keg cups, dirtied sinks, puddles and trash piles, as well as repair broken dishwashers, sinks and trash compactors, all while still prioritizing their bar customers.
These are new pet displays by Jacky93Sims - there's a bigger cage and glass box both containing everything a pet needs, and also one that's completely invisible so you could decorate your own space for them. This makes pet shops / shelters feel much kinder and realistic.
These are clones of the fruit & veg bins used in grocery stores to purchase food points. However, Tea Addict has made these ones sell actual fruit & veg produce, similar to the Fish Kiosks.

These are several mods by Tea Addict which improve owned businesses in various ways.
The Restaurant Lot Controller has useful interactions for restaurant lots, such as being able to toggle “eat or go home” to kick sims out if they’re not hungry.
The Better Food Business mod reduces the relationship requirement for getting away with underpaying staff in food businesses, it also makes customers arrive on the lot hungry, you get more sims appearing at your restaurant per business rank, and it creates lunch and dinner rushes for non-owned restaurants and cafes.
The Close the Kitchen mod allows you to 'close the kitchen' so sims will stop going to the podium without having to close the business. This adds a new interaction to the podium to close the kitchen but with the Restaurant Lot Controller, you can set the time at which the kitchen will automatically close.
The Better Staff Breaks / Staff Room Controller adds a new object which when placed in a designated 'staff room' will scan the sims on the lot for anyone on a break, call them every 10 minutes to 'come here please’ if they aren’t in the staff room, then push them to do something useful, helping them tend to their bladder, hunger, and energy needs.
The Employees Warn Before Quitting mod will give you a warning dialogue that an employee is underpaid and will quit before they actually do, giving you a chance to rectify the situation and keep them around.
The Showering on Business Lots enables customers to take a shower at an open business, which is really helpful for gyms so they will use the showers instead of leaving due to low hygiene. Squinge had a mod for this but it was never updated to Apartment Life, and this also has compatibility patches for other shower-related mods.
This is a default replacement for the community lot espresso machine by More Popcorn. Rather than being a full unit, it is now just a machine converted from The Sims 4 and can be placed on any counter. This also includes a decorative counter which it can be placed on too, and this is slaved to Nooks & Niches.

This is a default replacement for the Decra-Chill Display Fridge by More Popcorn, or alternatively can be a standalone addition. It matches the counter made for the above Espresso default, and support's Tea Addict's Actual Cafes mod.
This mod by Tea Addict introduces a new way of playing owned cafes. With the regular Decra Chill Fridges and marking plates of food for sale, customers can still buy food to take home as usual. However, this adds clones of them which are instead used by customers to purchase the plates of food inside them to eat at the lot, rather than taking home. You can place group meals in them and a sim will take a single serving. This prevents the need for the full restaurant system with a host, server and chef, and makes customers able to serve themselves. They won't even use a cashier, they will just buy the plate of food directly from the fridge and sit at a table on the lot to eat it. This comes with a Cafe Lot Controller similar to the restaurant one, but this will mark the lot as a cafe and enable the 'pay to eat' system. Without this, sims will eat for free. It also has the a “Buy Something or Go Home” toggle, which will force sims to leave the lot if they’re not going to buy something, either to eat or take home. There's also some compatibility patches for this mod here.
Simulation Princess has updated an old call centre podium object by PC Sims which could only be found at The Sims Graveyard. Sims will use this object by 'talking on the phone' and gaining charisma skill, but it would previously gain rapidly so following my guidance, she has tuned this down so charisma will be gained at a much slower rate after showcasing this object in her video on how she plays an active journalism career.
These are two strollers/prams/buggies for toddlers from The Sims 3 previously converted by Crisps & Kerosene here (still needed for the recolors), but Tea Addict has added new functionality: toddlers can now nap in them. So, toddlers have somewhere to happily sit close by to the family when outside and when they get tired they will simply peacefully fall asleep in them.

These are two mods for toddlers by AshtonLC3, the first one fulfilling an idea from my wishlist! I've always hated how quicky toddlers gained energy when sleeping in the crib and wished the energy rating of cribs could be reduced, and the first mod does exactly that! So now, a toddler with a completely empty energy bar will sleep for 7 and a half hours in the cheap crib to fully fill the energy need, whereas previously they would have only slept for 3 and a half hours! This is a much less cheaty solution than the popular 'Toddlers Sleep Through the Night' mod, but you can expect to see toddlers waking up in the middle of the night much less often with this.
The other mod on this page slightly reduces the time it takes to teach toddlers their skills without using smart milk, so it makes it a bit easier without being anything close to as easy it is with smart milk, but can help to avoid an over-reliance on it.
Heathen Simmer has created an improved version of the toddler-enabled version of Midge The Tree's Chastise mod. In the original mod, when you direct a Sim to chastise a toddler, the toddler will do a standing animation that is wonky and a little terrifying. With this mod, toddlers will just sit idly, listening to the adult berate them, and their relationship still takes a hit.
This mod by Big Woe changes the consumption of coffees and hot chocolates so that they yield hunger and energy per sip, can fatten Sims on full hunger, and can be left around (and never spoil) for others to take. It also makes coffees and hot chocolates different in the amount of motives they fulfill: coffees restore more energy, but are much less filling whereas a cup of hot chocolates can fill up to 1/4 of the hunger bar, but has a bigger impact on bladder. This also introduces more features: there's a chance sims will wash the mug straight after, self-deletion on community lots, fast drinking if there is an interaction queued up, sims may grab the mugs directly while seated, and PlantSims also gain water drinking them at about half the bladder loss for normal Sims.

This is another mod by AshtonLC3 inspired by my wishlist. It's always bothered me how the available meals would change from breakfast to lunch at 10:30 - that's too early for lunch! This mod introduces three alternative timetables for the available meals and can easily be used as a base to tune to your liking.
This is a set of functional kitchen appliances by Jacky93Sims. A few are CC items that behave exactly like their maxis counterparts: a coffee machine, a blender, and a microwave. But, there are also items with new and unique functionality: a pizza oven, air fryer, toaster, waffle maker and cooking pot. These unique items make various new unique recipes.
Lamare updated their Call To Meal on Custom Foods mod which enables the call to meal interaction on custom foods that have a unique serving dish, fixing a bug that would previously throw an error. With this, they have also provided a super simple tutorial guiding you how to update older, stubborn CC foods that would otherwise not work with this - you just have to change a 0 to a 1!
This mod by Heathen Simmer gives Pinball Machines a small chance to break while in use, and sims can then repair them. Children are more likely to break the machine than adults, and it has an optional version with traits support so unlucky sims also have a higher chance to break it but the chance is still very small.
This mod by 12Raben makes sims use the knock animation on all front doors when visiting just like they would on the apartment door, instead of ringing the imaginary doorbell. This is great for realism or a medieval/historical/no electricity hood. Alternatively, there's a version in which sims will do the bang on the wall animation instead of the knock, like sims can do in apartments to get their noisy neighbors to shut up.

This mod by Heathen Simmer allows Eccentric Sims to be able to make all robots and all toys on the workbenches without having the usually required badges. It is also intended to make Eccentric Sims have less motive drain from working with robots.
This mod by Heathen Simmer simply allows sims with the Green Thumb trait to talk to plants, just like Plantsims or sims with a gold gardening talent badge.
This mod by fway allows sims with the Green Thumb and Gatherer traits to harvest more produce from Maxis fruit trees and harvestable plants. The mod page states that Green Thumbs will harvest 5% more produce, and Gatherers will harvest 10% more produce, but from my testing this was the other way around. The mod can easily be tuned to your liking.
Tea Addict has edited a couple of mods with various additions and improvements: the Visitor Controller and Midge The Tree's Sell From Inventory mod.
The Visitor Controller has mostly been edited for Medieval use, adding the option to ban many of the Medieval Traits and a handful of 3t2 traits from the lot. For example, you could ban illiterate sims from the library and peasant sims from a posh establishment, etc.
The Sell From Inventory mod has been improved in a much more user-friendly way. In the original, you'd get the 'fridge menu' to select how much to charge for the item so this would involve checking how much the item is worth first and manually calculating how much markup you'd want to add if any. This edit removes the fiddly fridge menu, now the value of the traded items will be automatically calculated then you will get a popup dialog asking how much you want to adjust the price by - you can give it at a discount, at it's raw value, or at a markup. You can continuously adjust the percentage difference in increments of 10% until you confirm. This makes the mod far easier to use.

Heathen Simmer has updated the Functional Microscope by Katy76/nanashi again. This was done last quarter but it unfortunately had a bug, so it has been re-released and fixed. This edit adds science hobby enthusiasm gain, and if a Sim has enough hobby enthusiasm in Science or their OTH is Science, the pie menu changes to “Study Specimens”, they may also look through the microscope autonomously. As well as this, new in this version: children can now use the microscope too and sims with the Genius trait will learn logic faster.
Heathen Simmer has also updated these typewriters converted from the Sims 4 by Lord Crumps and TvickieSims which behave like limited computers for writing novels, by adding two more interactions to it. Sims can now write Restaurant Guides if they have the Pleasure Aspiration reward or a trait that unlocks this feature, and also Write Articles, which is part of the More Computer Interactions mod originally by Midge The Tree and expanded by Meduza, both of which contains DeeDee's Write Articles mod. However unlike those mods for the computer, the typewriters have been tweaked so only sims who have higher than 2 creativity points can write them.
This mod by Heathen Simmer adds a new interaction to newspapers to hire a repairman, so this can be done without a phone.
This is a lovely default replacement for the fireflies, and optionally the jars too, by Vegan Kaktus. The fireflies are now a warmer yellow color with a brighter glow, and you can also opt to have the lid of the jar be brown instead of red.
This is a default replacement for the handheld game device by AndrevaSims which makes it look like a Nintendo DS instead, with lots of recolors available.

This mod by Lamare adds a new interaction to other sims for proposing ideas. The ideas are imaginary and there's no real outcome of them but there will be relationship gain or loss, depending on whether the other sim 'accepts' the idea. The other sim will do different animations looking like they either agree or disagree, and this is somewhat random but niceness, good relationship and high chemistry make agreement more likely whereas grouchiness, very bad mood and low relationships make disagreement more likely.
These are functional spooky-themed drinks by Jacky93Sims - you buy the tray from the catalog and then you can serve the six wonderfully decorated drinks for §30 each time. Sims can then take up to six drinks from the tray, and you can take the same 'flavor' more than once. The drinks increase fun and comfort and decrease bladder. The tray will spoil after some time but can be cleaned up and used again. This is great for Halloween/Spooky parties!
Heathen Simmer has updated the Actual Alcohol mod by Nyami with traits integration. While the Actual Alcohol mod is a great concept, it is extremely random and chaotic - every sim will have a 50% chance of performing any one of the possible interactions after having a drink. Heathen Simmer has made it so the possible drunken interactions are somewhat limited by traits. For example, Over-Emotional Sims will either argue or cry, and if they either have Commitment Issues or aren’t committed), they will propose, flirt or kiss. If a sim does not have any of the relevant traits, then it checks hunger and comfort and if either are low, they may throw up but otherwise it chooses the behavior based on personality and randomness.
These are two mods for the inappropriate trait by Siknoy336. The idea here is that Sims who have the inappropriate trait (as well as daredevil, party animal, and rebellious) can now skinny dip. Also, Sims who have the inappropriate trait will no longer automatically change into clothes when in the nude.

These are two expansions to Lazy Duchess' Height Mod by KittyCarey - you can use both together or just one. The grow mod will allow toddlers, children, and teenagers to gradually grow day-by-day as they age. The Genetics Height mod will result in short adults being more likely to have short children and tall adults being more likely to have tall children.
These are functional electronic photo frames by TvickieSims. They start out blank, but you can interact with them to either use a picture from your paintings folder or to take a snap to display in it. This is a great and easy way to have family portraits.
This mod by Big Woe updates several functional CC Air Conditioners by Sim Logical aka Inge Jones, Jacky93Sims, mustluvcatz, and Nonsensical-Pixels. The revised air conditioners work like the original - they regulate temperature of Sims in the room. But now, they all have limited range, have proper placement, maintain Hygiene instead of Comfort, and have selectable modes with different magnitudes of cooling (or heating) and target temperature. Each model also comes with its own quality and catalog description.
TvickieSims has updated all of her 4t2 fans and shared them in one convenient place. The fans can now be turned on and off to cool sims in the same room. Sims coming up to cool off do it quicker. They also provide a small comfort boost for those sims who were lacking it.
This is another one of Jacky93Sims functional VR Goggles. Sims can wear them to either play games for fun or work out and build body skill.

This is a default replacement for the bare walls by weoaty. The texture comes from The Sims 4: Restoration Kit and looks partially painted.
This is a mini door intended for pets by HugeLunatic which is repo'd to the base game value door. To properly allow pets only then you need the Pet Only Door mod by Mog.
Dina's Residential Care Updated
This mod by DinaMarBoobs has been updated with bug fixes and improvements. It expands the pool of Sims the game can pick from for Apartment Neighbors, letting Townies, Dormies, safe Service NPCs, Downtownies, and more move in, rather than only Social Group Townies. One version of this mod will reduce the amount of newly generated social group townies (since they won't generate until no other sims can move in) and the other can completely block them from spawning now too. On a low class lot you might see maids and grocery delivery people as neighbors, whereas on a high class you'll find landlords and headmasters and such. Teenage tonwies and NPCs can even live on their own now too.
This is a pack of new memories related to Apartment Life by Nopke. They will be automatically added when the relevant event happens: Cast First Spell, Hired a Butler, Moved Into an Apartment, and Rented an Apartment. They are individual so you can just pick and choose the ones you want.
This is a clone of the Apartment Door by Freezer Bunny with the functionality of the Color Keys System by SimLogical. This door can now be used on residential lots and locked for specific sims, simulating apartments but in a way you can control multiple 'households' at once and avoid the bugs that come with apartment lots.

DinaMarBoobs has also changed the logic around which dormies can move into dormitories, a bit like their apartment mod but is completely independent of it so you can use both or just one. It is heavily based on Nopke's Random Dormies mod, so when you move a household into a dormitory, its residents are randomly selected from non-playable students who don’t already live anywhere else instead of the same sims being selected over and over again. Also, if a lot (especially a dormitory) is no longer occupied by a playable household or no longer exists, the non-playable Sims who lived there can now move to another dormitory instead of being trapped and unable to live anywhere else. This adds one more feature: Cheerleaders, Good Mascots, and Evil Mascots can now be selected to live in a dormitory too.
These are the hidden Maxis facial overlays originally extracted by Damage Inc356 and Triple_sSs, now catalogued as base game with the CC star removed by marikfan333. These include freckles, wrinkles, zits, hickies, and more!
virtualpeople / Radio Gnome has made 11 new sliders: cheekbone width, cheekbone length, jawline squareness, upper lip area width, nose fold rotation (x2), nose vertical length, nose tip length, nose bridge shape (x2), and broken nose.
PForest has made some more mesh improvements to Maxis AM clothes: amBodySweats, amBodyTracksuit, amBodyBathrobe, amBodyBuckleCoat, amBodySporty & amBodySportyEP8. These make some minor improvements such as the tracksuit has improved mapping so the unzipped part looks more crisp, the sweats outfit has more detail on the cuffs and collar, and the robe looks more tightly tied around the waist. It also adds pregnancy morphs to them all and is compatible with texture-only replacements/tweaks.
These are seven new custom dog markings converted from The Sims 3 by DeeDee, for the belly / chest / throat area.

This is a web tool by kateful-stuff which helps you randomize various things to do with The Sims 2: CAS appearance, Sim Personality, and random events.
lemonade-lizard has updated and unlocked the old Sims2DB app for tracking your sims' genetics, businesses, family trees and much more.
This is another mesh improvement by PForest, this time for the female overalls in Kitchen & Bath Stuff. It almost looked like the male mesh so this makes the shape less masculine, with a higher and more sinched waist, more shapely hips, and less broad arms and shoulders. It also adds a pregnancy morph.
This is a pack of 5 mods (and 1 add-on) by Nopke that either fix or improve various issues with feeding babies and toddlers. They're a mix of feeding-related fixes from the Baby Toddler Mod by simler90 and Baby toddler food and feeding fixes by dickhurt without its additional baby feeding features, but with further improvements. These mods make the whole experience around feeding babies and toddlers so much less frustrating in more ways than I can cover here, but some of my highlights include: after taking a bottle of milk from the fridge to feed a baby the Sim will move away from the fridge, if a Sim tries to give a bottle of milk to a toddler on the ground then they will now wait longer before giving up and dropping the bottle instead of being so impatient, a Sim can no longer take mush or a bottle of milk from a fridge if there's not enough food in it (for realism), and so much more.
These are new terrains by LordCrumps that are additional to the Lush, Desert, Dirt, and Concrete you have available to select from when creating a new neighborhood. So, instead of having only one kind of lush ground, you can now have several to choose from for example.

This mod by LowMotivesWarning is an alternative approach to Creature Fixes biting changes (load after), plus some other changes. This mod can also help you with a situation where your Grand Vampires might get stuck Bleh-ing and not biting anymore. It lets Grand Vampires' preserve their distinctive behavior of trying to bite Sims whose relationship with is very high, and adds checks to prevent them from choosing certain NPCs after Biting Frenzy has started. Also, since, there's no limit on how many Sims they can turn, this mod also makes them less likely to bite to balance this (leaving space for the rest of their scripted behavior) and allows more Sims to be turned by playables, it also has an optional text notification that pop-ups when a Grand Vampire is about to bite a Sim. Now they can co-exist and do normal Sim things too instead of biting like there's no tomorrow.
This is an addon by Lamare for their Simple Laundry mod, allowing you to purchase this stack of clothes and place it on the lot to pause the laundry system.
This mod by Lenna9 adds two objects for toggling the visibility of the range indicators for the garden sprinklers. You can use these to temporarily turn off the visibility to get nice screenshots in the options menu.
This mod by Lenna9 removes the restriction on bug boxes and diplomas that only allowed you to place them in the inventory of the sim who earned them, so now anyone can have them which is great for preserving family heirlooms.
pheeisafraid has shared this edit of Pescado's Community Lot Skilling and Enthusiasm mod, removing the feature of allowing reputation to be gained and lost on residential lots as well as community lots. So now, sims won't become 'sociable celebrities' by being hermits and only interacting with their household! Alternatively, this traits mod only allows sims with the Star Quality trait to build reputation (at a slower rate) on residential lots, and other sims won't at all so you could just load that mod after Pescado's mod instead.

These are clones of the potties by Nathieke which can be emptied in toilet stalls instead of regular toilets or trash bins.
This mod by xXstarcickXx adjusts the length of the seasons: Spring - 14 days, Summer - 18 days, Fall - 12 days, and Winter - 16 days.
This is a lifespan mod by xXstarcickXx. Baby - 5 days, Toddler - 10 days, Child - 13 days, Teen - 21 Days, Adult - 45 Days, Elder - 10 Days (Total = 104 days).
This mod by TvickieSims simply allows the fruits and vegetables to be placed on surfaces, because why couldn't they before?
Blueybre has fixed the More Attractive Gaming Competitions originally by MidgeTheTree, as it never actually did what Midge intended. The issue was that sims rarely, if ever autonomously started or joined gaming competitions. Midge attempted to change this but their mod ends up doing a completely different thing from what they intended - it doesn’t actually change who it advertises to (which is actually Playful Sims seeking Social, and Lazy Sims seeking Fun), and instead makes it even less likely for Playful Sims to consider starting or joining a gaming competition. Blueybre has fixed it in two different ways, one being exactly how Midge intended, and another which attempts to make the advertisement a bit more sensible: advertises to Playful Sims only, changes the base Fun ads to be the same as playing a single-player game, and leaves bonus ads as-is. Apparently, the version which Midge intended is not very sensible for gameplay - you’ll likely find that Playful Sims will only ever want to start or join gaming competitions with this mod in, instead of anything else. There's also a version of each version for use with Meduza's Even More Computer Options.

WolfTest found a rock in the game files of Bon Voyage and has added it to the catalog. It can be found under Deco>Misc and it costs §25.
Heathen Simmer has fixed a pet bed converted from The Sims Pet Stories, so it now no longer throws an error when dirty.
This is an alternative name pool for the newly generated townies by DinaMarBoobs with Italian names only.
This mod by Heathen Simmer gets rid of the 'Go to College' want for teenagers unless they are three days or less from aging! While I always want my teenagers to want to go to college, I never cut their teenage years short and only send them to college on their very last day so its annoying to have this want potentially hog a slot for 14 whole days.
MunchieBot has fully fixed the Plantsim-Witch hair problem which Lenna partially fixed here. With this mod, when a Plantsim becomes a Witch or vice versa, they are no longer assigned the incorrect version of their hair (green or wilted). Their hair will change according to their needs, just like normal Plantsims: it will wilt when their needs are low and turn green when they’re high again.
This mod by bernhellermountain changes the risk of fire while cooking in three different versions: Never, 75-50-25: a Sim with a high cooking skill will have a 25 percent chance, a sim with medium skill will have a 50 percent chance, and a low skilled sim will have a 75 percent odds, or Always. It also includes a tutorial for tuning the odds in a way that works for you. Personally, I opt for this traits mod instead.

These are two mods by fway. The first is an updated version of their versions of their Skill Mods for Traits with compatibility with Simler90's excellent Skill Speed Mod. It contains all of their changes from their previous mod with additions: Night Owls will gain skills faster after 9pm and before 6AM, Brooding Sims will gain skills 25% slower if their mood is below 50 or 33% slower if their mood is below 25, skill gain can be made proportional to the lifespan and/or to the length of university. The other are patches for tunaisafish’s Enthusiasm Overhaul so that Enthusiasm gain/decay can be made proportional to the lifespan and/or to the length of university.
This mod by fway stops Sims from yelling at you when you cancel the “prepare” action when they have a food prep tray in their hands or are in the middle of preparing food. But now, if you stop the action before they place the food prep tray on the counter, they’ll place the food on the floor.
These are mods for the Loner trait by Heathen Simmer. In the first mod, Loner Sims will not roll wants to make a friend, be friends with someone they’ve met, meet someone new, or invite someone over, or throw a party. Also, the “Throw Sports Party” want will check for a Sim’s interest in Sports too. There's also a mod that makes Loner Sims who are teens or younger have a very small chance (5%) of bringing another Sim home from school. The last mod makes it so Loners have a very high chance of not answering a ringing telephone.
MunchieBot has shared custom want trees for the Go Steady Wants for Adults and the Break Up Wants Fix which you can put in your downloads folder individually, instead of having to overwrite your WantTrees.
